Furnaces
Typical furnace sizes range from 40,000 Btu to 1,40,000 Btu. Furnaces are rated by the Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (the higher the rating, the most cost-effective it is to operate). Furnaces of varying efficiencies have different operations and venting requirements.
Rooftop and packaged systems
These units are used for heating and cooling on a larger scale or on a commercial rooftop. Package units also have an Economizer option that will use cooler air outside for cooling services without turning on the air conditioning circuit compressor, saving money on cooling operations. Check your system to see what options and applications you have available.
Geothermal heat pumps
A geothermal heat pump uses the below ground temperature and water to transfer the temperatures into the system to extract heat or cooling as needed. The energy-use footprint of a geothermal system varies depending on a number of factors. We can install the external heat exchanger (also known as a loop) horizontally, vertically, or in a pond.
VRF Equipment and Dedicated Outside Air Equipment
VRF equipment provides the ability for multiple indoor units or zones to operate on the same system. Designed to provide energy efficient comfort for a building’s occupants, and provide simultaneous heating and cooling. Dedicated Outdoor Air System (DOAS) is a system that brings fresh outdoor air indoors to improve air quality without sacrificing energy efficiency. This system is insulated to decrease heat flow and sound levels. The VRF equipment and dedicated outside air equipment work in tandem by integrated controls and sensors that measure cooling and heating loads for each zone. This allows the compressor to seamlessly adjusts speed to maintain the zone’s set point. VRF systems minimize the energy-intensive process of turning a compressor on and off to meet loads, which change throughout the day.
